Bible quick guide

The readable layer behind the tools.

The website toolset is built from the v0.6 source-of-truth Bible: B4 value-storm by default, B5 spice when the pod demands speed.

thesis

Core Thesis

Bracket 4 Veyran wins by overwhelming value: cheap spells, doubled permanent triggers, mana-refund engines, and layered payoffs. The Bracket 5 twist compresses the kill with free interaction, tutors, fast mana, and Breach/Brain Freeze packages when the table calls for it.

b4

Bracket 4 Identity: Value Avalanche

Look fair for the first few turns, deploy one or two permanent engines, hold interaction, then convert cheap spells into doubled resources. Every cantrip becomes damage, Treasure, tokens, cards, life, storm count, and pressure.

b5

Bracket 5 Twist: Compact Pressure

Do not abandon the value identity. Trim cute top-end and add compression: faster mana, more tutors, free interaction, and deterministic or near-deterministic lines. The cleanest twist is Breach + Brain Freeze backed by stack protection.

legality

Legality Policy

Legal Commander is the default. Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, and Dockside Extortionist appear in scraped lists but are flagged as Rule 0/no-banlist or stale data, not default recommendations.

Moxfield bracket labels are user-declared. B5 is a small sample, so it is a signal, not gospel. Legal Commander is default; Rule 0/no-banlist cards are flagged.

Hate guide

What stops Veyran, and how to answer it.

Rule of Law / Deafening Silence / Arcane Laboratory

Why it hurts: Stops storm turns entirely.

Answer: Counter, bounce, or remove immediately. Do not try to value through it.

Drannith Magistrate

Why it hurts: Blocks commander recasts and some cast-from-exile lines.

Answer: Pongify, Rapid Hybridization, bounce, or counter on the way down.

Rest in Peace / Leyline of the Void / Dauthi Voidwalker

Why it hurts: Turns off Breach, Past in Flames, Mizzix lines.

Answer: Pivot to hand-based value; save bounce/removal for combo turn.

Collector Ouphe / Null Rod

Why it hurts: Shuts off artifact mana and Scepter lines.

Answer: Painful for B5 twist; remove before relying on rocks or Scepter.

Narset, Parter of Veils / Notion Thief

Why it hurts: Punishes wheels and mass draw.

Answer: Remove before Windfall effects.

Orcish Bowmasters

Why it hurts: Punishes draw-heavy lines and small creatures.

Answer: Sequence carefully and remove before major draw chains.

Next build step

The next production layer should connect this local JSON to editable card data, add live card price/legality refresh, and import decklists directly from Moxfield/Archidekt URLs.
